Christmas in LA

Before we knew it, Christmas Day had arrived. Hanging up our tree decorations reminded us of all the wonderful cold Christmasses we had spent in England and how eagerly we waited every year for snow to transform the countryside (it never came!). Well, here we were on our first USA Christmas day with glorious sunshine and 22 dgr C! It somehow did not feel right but we still had a special time with friends and family. Early morning presents!

Here we are after 20 years of marriage....facing the future together - as always! Ryk surprised me by arranging 2 days in Big Bear Lake, a resort up in the San Gabriel mountains. It usually caters for the skiing crowd, but is also filled with lovely little shops to browse in....

...hiking trails.....
