It's been a sizzling, smoking week with wildfires raging in the nearby canyons since late last week. Firefighters are claiming a cautious stand tonight
but are keeping an eye on some hotspots. The first 2 pics were taken this morning after I dropped Francois off at college. The nearest fire then about 5 miles away. The last 2 pics were taken from our back porch at about 4h30 with the sun still blazing hot and high in the sky, although it looks eerie from under the smoke blanket covering us. I cannot remember what life was like without helicopters droning and circling all hours of the day and night. Please pray for the weather to remain stable, for flare-ups
