Sissinghurst Castle

Had a lovely day out in a beautiful garden with a special friend today. Cally had her birthday and we celebrated in style! Sissinghurst Castle lies tucked away in 400 acres of farm and woodland in Kent. It is one of the world's most celebrated gardens, created in the 1930's by poet and novelist Vita Sackville-West. We strolled around these gardens bathed in spring sunshine, enjoying the new blossoms and shoots on a wide variety of plants. We were a bit too early for the roses though..maybe next time!
